Being prepared to handle a medical emergency can make a big difference in a crisis situation. Canada CPR, an authorized Red Cross training partner, has been operating since early 2011. They can instruct you in first aid, CPR, AED and disaster management and better prepare you for when disaster strikes. Canada CPR offers private or public courses that may be adjusted to meet your special needs. The general geographic covered reaches as far north as Barrie but focuses more on the Peterborough and Kawarthas.

The United Kingdom Shoppe
The UK Shoppe opened in 2008 and provides customers with a wide variety of British specialty foods, clothing, media and souvenirs in one location previously unavailable within the greater Peterborough area. The shop has appeal directly to former citizens of the United Kingdom as well as senior citizens and tourists. At the time of opening, this was the only store of its kind in the immediate area. Susan Wakeford, owner of I Watch Animal Resort, has been serving Peterborough and the surrounding community for over twenty years.
